I took my Moto E here to get my broken screen repaired. It was $89.99 with a $30 deposit. When I got it back I noticed the screen was not as clear and bright as it once was. I let it slide since I knew it was an aftermarket part. I noticed the bottom of the new screen was slightly loose too. I took it home and when I lightly pushed it back into my case the screen cracked. I immediately took it back up there and explained what had happened. After the worker got off the phone with the manager he told me the manager was going to argue with the manufacture about it and they might fix it again. He said they would let me know Monday. I did not hear from them all week and so I called them that Friday. I was told they were going to fix it and I half jokingly said that I hoped that it was going to be better quality than last time. A few days later the owner left me a voice mail saying it was ready and I was going to be charged only an additional $40 for the labor. After work I went there to get my phone back and I gave my thoughts to the owner about the additional $40. I was never originally told that there would be an additional charge to fix a screen that was not put on completely correct and cracked so easily. I would have never agreed to that and overall I never signed anything saying I did agree with it anyway. The owner told me not worry about the additional charge. I took a little while to test the screen while there. It seemed to be work fine but like before the image quality was not quite the same as before. I had to turn the brightness all the way up for it to look decent but it is still not quite as good as it was. I did notice when I make or answer or a call the screen would go off and would not come back on until the call was over. Not even hitting the power button would turn it back on during the call. I explained this to the owner and he said the proximity censor must have been broken. The only solution I came across that worked was having a 3.5mm jack hooked in. I am not sure if the proximity censor was broken when the screen was originally broken or if they accidentally did it while repairing my screen. It was quite a mixed experience with this business.
